    Congratulations to Christian Vargas-Garcia for receiving a 2022-2023 scholarship from the Ohio Soybean Council Foundation! These funds will provide supplemental support to help cover additional education-related expenses such as computer programs that support second-language speakers' statistics learning and strongly support extracurricular-related activities.

    Hannah is joining our lab as a doctoral student on the chile pepper project, specifically studying the concept of utilizing niche theory to help discover beneficial genes from crop wild relatives. She joins us from Miami University where she obtained her B.S. and M.S. in Biology. Welcome Hannah!

    Congratulations to Tyler Swanson for receiving a grant from the Ohio Soybean Council Foundation! Tyler's proposal was selected as part of the CFAES Soybean Center Graduate Research Support Program. This one-year grant will support his research on evaluating the economic value of Ohio soybeans.

  8. Tu Huynh receives the Gerald O. Mott Award

    The Gerald O. Mott Meritorious Graduate Student Award in Crop Science recognizes top-notch graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in crop science disciplines. The award is offered by the Crop Science Society of America (CSSA). Departments select students based on academic achievements, research and teaching contributions, leadership accomplishments, service activities and personal qualifications. The award honors the first CSSA President, Gerald O. Mott, who trained 75 graduate students during his 45 year career at Purdue University and the University of Florida.
